DOHA: The General Monitoring Section at Doha Municipality recorded 812 abandoned vehicles and 137 of them were removed in July, 2020.

The municipal inspectors caught 498 violations, which were reconciled later, and 22 violations were referred to the security agency for further legal action, said the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in statement.

The inspectors made 2,180 regular inspections in the last month. A joint campaign was implemented with the Ministry of Interior in Doha city and another joint campaign was conducted with the Committee for Removing Abandoned Vehicles.

Meanwhile, Al Wakra Municipality removed 30 abandoned vehicles and issued tickets to 85 erring vehicles in July.

The municipal inspectors made 266 inspections during which they recorded 97 violations which were reconciled later.
