The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the closure of the main carriageway of Al Wukair Road in both directions, for 0.6 km between Al Wakra Health Center Roundabout and  Al Wakra Hospital Roundabout. 
In coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, this change will be implemented today for a period of 3 months, to enable completion of upgrading works on Al Wukair Road, as part of the Interim Road Improvements in Doha South - Phase 2. During this time, traffic on Al Wukair Road will be diverted to parallel two-lane-service road. 
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
