Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the implementation of a partial traffic closure on University Street, on the left lane in both directions of the street for a distance of 80 meters near its intersection with Al Khafji Street as shown in the attached map. 

The closure starts today and will be implemented for a period of six months. During this period, two lanes on University Street will remain open to traffic in each direction. The closure is in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic and aims to allow the implementation of excavation works for the infrastructure development of the sewage network and rainwater drainage network in the area. The Public Works Authority will install directional signs to alert road users of this traffic change and has urged all commuters to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to preserve their safety.
