Doha: Ashghal will reduce one lane at Nuaija (Mall) Intersection on D Ring Rd in all directions except west side for five months, starting on October 23, Friday.

The closure, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, aims at revamping and expanding Nuaija Intersection, as part of D Ring Road Upgrade Project. 

“Ashghal is working to improve the intersection by increasing the number of lanes on D Ring Road to four in each direction thereby increasing the traffic capacity of the same,” they said in a tweet.

This is part of the D-Ring Road Development work, which also includes the upgarding works of Fereej Al Ali Intersection (Al Tadamon Intersection). The whole project will include implementation of shared pedestrian and cycling paths along the 4.5km stretch.
