Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired Wednesday the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.

The cabinet approved a draft law by the Minister of Education and Higher Education on forming a committee for schools' affairs. The committee will be charged with the authorities mentioned in law no.32 of 2019 on staff regulations for schools. These authorities include choosing school principals, suggesting the allocation of new schools and their names in line with geographic and populations needs, suggesting the plans required to develop education, following up on their implementation, examining the structure of schools and giving their opinion on it.

Cabinet also approved a draft decision by the Minister of Education and Higher Education on forming a committee for school employees. The committee is charged with the authorities mentioned in law no.32 of 2019 on staff regulations for schools. These authorities include suggesting plans to improve the efficiency of employees.
