Doha: The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani chaired the regular Cabinet meeting this afternoon through video conferencing.

At the meeting, Cabinet decided to stop services at private health facilities except for emergency cases as part of Covid-19 precuationary measures. The new decision will come into effect from Friday, April 2, 2021.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation provided by His Excellency the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments and developments to limit the spread of the Covid - 19 and the cabinet affirmed the continuation of precautionary measures that have been taken in order to combat the epidemic and decided the following:

1 -Stopping medical services in private health facilities, except in emergency cases, and allowing these facilities to provide some of their medical services through modern means of communication.

2 - This decision shall come into effect as of Friday, April 2, 2021.
