
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has concluded all preparations for the commencement of the first-semester exams for the academic year 2023-24, spanning grades one through twelve. The exams are set to begin today and will run until December 21.
These comprehensive preparations aim to establish a reassuring, calm, and conducive environment, fostering student success and excellence with the attainment of high grades.
Ibrahim Abdullah Rashid Al Muhannadi, Director of the Student Assessment Department at MoEHE, highlighted the ministry's concerted efforts across its entities and departments to ready for the exam period, with particular emphasis on the secondary school exams. This was accomplished through the issuance of requisite circulars, guidelines, and instructions, dispatched to schools, and monitoring their preparations via field visits conducted by assessment specialists and educational supervisors.
Al Muhannadi emphasized the ministry's commitment to upholding the highest standards for exams, encompassing the provision of a suitable and stable environment within examination halls, psychological and specialized preparation, implementation of grading plans and mechanisms, real-time monitoring of results, and prompt issuance. Additionally, meetings and discussions at various levels have been integral to the exam preparations.
Schools have taken diverse measures related to students' psychological preparation, including the organization of examination halls with seat arrangements, informative posters, and the implementation of behavioral guidelines. Entrances, corridors, and the sports hall have been readied to facilitate students' movement during entry and exit. Teachers and supervisors have engaged in meetings to ensure the conveyance of essential information, communicate directives about the exams, and maintain effective communication with parents through text messages or direct calls to provide reminders and guidance on all aspects of the exams.
