The Qatari Planning and Statistics Authority announced on 2 October 2022 in a tweet that the population within Qatar at the end of September 2022 was 2,985,000 people.

This does not include:

Qatari nationals who were outside the State boundaries on 30 September 2022.
Non-Qataris with residency permits who were outside the state's boundaries on 30 September​ 2022.

As of 4 October 2022, the official website states the population of Qatar as 2,985,029 (total population inside the State of Qatar, September 2022).

As per the Planning and Statistics Authority of Qatar, this was with a monthly increase of 1.6% over last August and an annual increase of 13.2% over September 2021.

The latest data comprises 2,167,885 males and 817,144 females, including Qataris and non-Qataris within Qatar. The official figures for August 2022 are 2,937,800 and for July 2022 are 2,658,311.
