Qatar has been working to the best of its capabilities to ensure the good health and safety of its citizens and residents in current times.
As the country continues to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry takes measures to control prices of hand sanitizers, wipes, and soaps.
Ministry has released a list of 214 products and their maximum prices.
It is prohibited for any entities including pharmacies to sell these items for prices exceeding those set by MoCI.
Those who violate these rules will face legal action.
Here are precautionary measures MoPH recommends:
Pay special attention to hand hygiene
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Likewise, you could use an alcohol-based rub.
Wash your hands:
after coughing or sneezing;
before during, and after preparing food;
before eating;
after using the restroom
when caring for patients
when your hands are dirty
after handling animals
For any queries, or concerns related to COVID-19 in Qatar, the public can contact a 24/7 hotline set up by the Ministry. The hotline number is 16000 and is toll-free.
