There was a beehive of activity on Thursday evening on the iconic Lusail Boulevard, with hundreds of spectators, colourful roving cultural performances and a parade of 100 luxurious cars.

A parade of excellence rolled down the Boulevard's 1.3km stretch as part of the first Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) Qatar. Curtains will come down on GIMS Qatar on Saturday.

Featuring some of the world's most exotic vehicles, the Parade of Excellence was a dream come true for vehicle enthusiasts.

There was something for every auto enthusiast gathered at the Boulevard, from cutting-edge cars to timeless classics that seemed straight out of a museum.

Cars included the iconic 1964 Ford Chevy with its distinctive blue stripes, the Dodge Charger R/T, Toyota MR2, Mustang Shelby GT 500, Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Corvette C2, Datsun GT 240k, and the classic 1964 Mercedes-Benz SR4.

As part of GIMS Qatar's 'Urban Playground' activation, Sealine Circuit Sports Club - Mawater and Elite Supercars organized the 'Parade of Excellence'.

A dedicated center stage at Lusail Plaza Towers will also host music artists, DJs, and engaging talks as part of Urban Playground. Daily festivities will run from 5pm to 10pm at the arena.
