Doha: Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has launched a new website today as part of its plan to upgrade and digitalise the services provided to the public. It was launched by Dr Mariam Abdulmalik, Managing Director of PHCC, in a function held at PHCC head quarters.

With the services provided by the new website, public will be soon able to register with PHCC and make appointments online. 

“Many services will be available to the public online soon. Among those, public will no longer require to visit health centers to register. Public will be able to upload documents and register with a health Centre online,” said Alexandra Tarazi, Executive Director of Health Information System at PHCC.

In addition to easy access to information and data related to the healthcare system, PHCC also recently stated that the launch of the new website comes as part of the State’s directives to digitise services to reflect the country's vision towards primary healthcare and highlight the efforts made to improve the health system in the country. 

Apart from this, the new website is also in line with the National Health Strategy by making the population’s health and integrated care as its main focus. Through this, the website can keep track with the rapid developments in the field of primary health care in the country as well as build up effective communication mechanisms with the public and the optimal use of information technology in health support. 

National Health Strategy by focusing on population health and integrated care, therefore the PHCC’s website will keep pace with the great and rapid progress in the field of primary health care in the State of Qatar and to enhance effective communication mechanisms with the public and the optimal use of information technology in health support.
