The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that student enrolment and transfer in public schools for the academic year 2020-21 will reopen from August 23 through October 7, 2020.
Qatari siblings, children of Qatari mothers, and children of GCC citizens can complete the enrolments and transfers from August 23 to 24, said the Ministry on its website.
Qatari students, children of Qatari mothers and children of GCC citizens can do the same from August 25 to 31. All nationalities can complete the enrolments and transfers from September 1 to October 7.
Parents can complete the enrolment process online via the Public Service Portal. For applications to be complete, it is important to attach all the required documents, along with the medical assessment certificates for new students.

In a related context, medical examinations for new students are still underway in a number health centres designated by the Ministry of Public Health. The medical certificates will officially be approved and linked directly to Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s (MOEHE) online enrolment system.  Accordingly, parents can proceed with the online enrolment once the student is found medically fit.
