
Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 258 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 291 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 114,099.
All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 117,266 and there are 2973 active cases under treatment. MoPH reported one death of a 63-year old from the virus today. So far, 194 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.
Ministry conducted 4295 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 594215 tests. There are 37 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
Two patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 67.
While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
Adherence to physical distancing.
Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
Wearing a face mask.
Washing hands regularly.
