
Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 200 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 226 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 121,738. MoPH also reported two deaths – an 80 and 62-year-olds - in the last 24 hours.
Out of the 200 new cases, 192 are community cases and 8 from travellers returning from abroad.
All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.
While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
- Adherence to physical distancing.
- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
- Wearing a face mask.
- Washing hands regularly
