
Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 215 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 248 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 135,198.
Out of the 215 new cases, 171 are community cases and 44 from travellers returning from abroad.
So far, 237 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 138,066 and there are 2,631 active cases under treatment.
4755 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (11043 tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 1,097,377 tests.
There are 39 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 277.
One patient was admitted to intensive care, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical attention in intensive care currently to 35.All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.
While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
- Adherence to physical distancing
- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate
- Wearing a face mask
- Washing hands regularly
