Doha: Qatar is expected to witness a cold spell this weekend with temperature dropping to as low as 8 degrees Celsius and it could go further down in some southern parts of the country.

With minimum temperature ranging between 8 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius, Qatar will experience cold days and nights in the coming days. 

Qatar Meteorology Department, on Twitter, stated that a cold spell will affect the country during the weekend. The significant drop in temperature is set to begin from tonight and even more during the weekend. The lowest temperature is also likely to reach less than 8 degrees Celsius in some southern and remote areas of the country. 

The highest temperature during this weekend will vary between 22 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius.
