
Doha: The first batch of Covid-19 vaccine will arrive in Qatar in the coming weekdays said a Ministry of Public Health official.
Dr Abdul-Wahab Al-Musleh, Advisor to the Minister of Public Health for Sports and Emergency Affairs, explained that the ministry expects the first batch of the Pfizer vaccine will be coming to Qatar before the end of this month.
Dr Al-Musleh said this while on a show with Alkass Channel yesterday, adding that priority will be given to the elderly and those with chronic diseases and to the frontline workers.
He also said that gradually in the following months, the vaccine will reach the rest of the public.
Dr Al-Musleh said that Pfizer vaccine has two doses which has to be administered three weeks apart.
The doctor in the same interview also added that as in other parts of the world, vaccine will not be compulsory in Qatar too but there are possibilities that certain quarters might compulsorily require you to vaccinate for example to travel or to enter the stadiums.
