
Yesterday, H E Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, paid a visit to Qatar's pavilion at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in Expo City Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During the visit, the Minister received a briefing on the pavilion's facilities and its role in the conference, emphasizing Qatar's commitment to addressing climate change issues on the global stage. The pavilion serves as a platform to showcase Qatar's efforts to the participating nations and international organizations.
H E Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani also examined Qatar's utilization of modern technology for sustainable development and emission reduction, highlighting the country's experiences in these areas.
In addition to the pavilion visit, the Minister took part in the Group of 77 and China summit, an integral part of the COP28 activities. Qatar's dedicated pavilion in the accompanying exhibition at Expo City Dubai features the active involvement of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, along with various other state agencies.
